Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Data Platform) to join our GovCloud data infrastructure in a remote capacity. You will own the StarRocks serving layer, tuning queries and ensuring high-performance answers for government investigations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems at scale.
• Ability to tune queries and optimize performance under load.
• Experience owning data pipelines and incident response.
• Comfort ramping up unfamiliar production infrastructure with AI-assisted research.

Responsibilities

• Own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer.
• Build and harden data pipelines for government cloud investigations.
• Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by taking on-call responsibilities.
• Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage production issues.
