Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking an engineer to own the StarRocks serving layer in our government cloud investigations, focusing on performance tuning and reliable data pipelines. You will work on an on-call capable, high-availability system with AI-assisted tooling to speed debugging and incident response.

You will collaborate across teams to reduce incidents, improve throughput, and ensure compliance in a regulated environment, while maintaining fast, accurate data delivery for investigations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems at scale.
• Ability to tune queries and optimize performance in production.
• Experience owning data pipeline reliability and incident response.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted debugging and code review tools.

Responsibilities

• Own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer and optimize slow queries.
• Build and harden data pipelines feeding government cloud investigations.
• Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by enabling independent operations of the serving layer.
• Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage production issues and drive rapid root-cause fixes.
