Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems at scale (StarRocks, Trino, ClickHouse or similar).
• Experience owning data pipeline reliability and incident response, with AI tooling to accelerate debugging and documentation.
• Ability to own and operate production infrastructure and participate in on-call rotation with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer, using AI-assisted query profiling to fix slow patterns before incidents.
• Build and harden data pipelines feeding government cloud investigations with high compliance requirements.
• Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by becoming the second engineer able to operate the serving layer and respond to incidents.
• Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to shorten production investigations and root-cause fixes.
