Job summary

Prescient Edge in Doral, Florida, seeks a cloud engineer to design, deploy, and secure GovCloud-based infrastructures on AWS and Azure for DoD RMF and FedRAMP aligned environments.

The role focuses on IAM/RBAC, VPCs, VPNs, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM), and continuous monitoring, with collaboration across multiple work orders and security teams to ensure performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or 5+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining GovCloud-based AWS/Azure environments with high availability and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain GovCloud infrastructures in AWS and Azure, ensuring DoD RMF/NIST/FedRAMP compliance.
• Configure IAM and RBAC, manage security groups and firewalls.
• Optimize cloud networking: VPC peering, VPNs, cross-domain connectivity.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Contribute to the Cloud Security & Performance Optimization Report with security configurations and efficiency metrics.
• Track Kubernetes and workload usage using GovCloud observability tools.
• Coordinate with other contractors to reconcile usage and prepare monthly cost reports.
• Advise Government on workload placement across IL2/IL4/IL5 to balance cost and security.
• Provision GovCloud infrastructure using native AWS/Azure tools and integrate IAM, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows.
• Implement monitoring, cost tracking, and compliance automation for scalability and security.
