Job summary

Pinehurst is seeking a dedicated line cook to perform all methods of cookery, follow recipes, and ensure quality, taste, and presentation in accordance with Pinehurst standards.

You will work under the Resort Executive Chef, Managing Chef and Sous Chefs, maintain clean, sanitized workstations, manage food storage, control usage and rotation, and help other departments as needed. Regular safety meetings are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production of food in a timely manner.
• Prepare food so that quality, taste and appearance meet Pinehurst standards.
• Control proper usage and rotation of food.
• Ensure food quality and appearance on buffet and plated items meet Pinehurst standards.
• Report any food quality issues to the Chef or supervisor.
• Maintain walk-in coolers and food storage areas daily.
• Keep workstation clean and sanitary, and ensure equipment is clean before shift changes.
• Complete outlined prep in a timely manner for the next shift.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Attend departmental safety meetings regularly.
