Pinehurst is seeking a cook who can perform all methods of cookery, follow recipes, and maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and production. You will support the resort chefs and ensure proper storage, rotation, and sanitation of kitchen areas.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of related experience and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining Pinehurst standards.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year related kitchen experience.

Aufgaben

• Ensure production of food in a timely manner.
• Prepare food so that quality, taste and appearance of food is in accordance with Pinehurst standards.
• Control proper usage and rotation of food.
• Ensure food quality and appearance on buffet, and plated food, is in accordance with Pinehurst standards.
• Alert Chef or supervisor to any food quality issues.
• Maintain walk-in coolers and food storage areas daily.
• Maintain a neat, clean and sanitary workstation.
• Ensure workstation and equipment are clean and sanitized prior to shift change.
• Carry out duties of the job as directed by Executive Chef, Managing Chef or Sous Chef.
• Make sound judgments based on Pinehurst culinary management principles.
• Attend departmental Safety Meetings regularly.
