Job summary

The Gourmandie, a specialty food and wine market located in Schweitzer's Village, seeks a Clerk to handle guest-facing services and back-of-house food prep. You will welcome customers, take orders, prepare deli items, stock merchandise, and maintain clean, organized spaces in a vibrant mountain setting.

This seasonal position requires weekend/holiday availability, SafeServe and beverage training preferred, and a friendly, guest-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing, and communication required (High School or GED preferred).
• 6 months in food retail preferred.
• SafeServe certification preferred and Idaho Beverage Seller training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide exceptional guest service.
• Take food and drink orders with menu and beverage recommendations.
• Create and produce deli items and food prep.
• Stock, rotate and merchandise market items.
• Keep outlet areas clean and organized and assist with tidying tables.
• Ensure utensils and equipment are cleaned to health regulations at opening/closing.
• Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Position Summary

The Gourmandie is a specialty food and wine market located in Schweitzer's Village. The Clerk is responsible for both guest facing and back of house food prep.

Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, offering exceptional guest service.
• Take customer food & drink orders with the ability to recommend products from the menu as well as the beverage selections.
• Create and produce outstanding food and unique deli items.
• Stock, rotate and merchandise market items.
• Assisting with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas clean and organized.
• Ensuring kitchen and service utensils are properly prepared and / or cleaned at opening and closing to comply with health regulations.
• Work schedule will include weekends and holidays.

Specific Job Skills

• License/Certifications - SafeServe certification preferred and Idaho Beverage Seller training preferred
• Technical - Point of Sale computer system familiarity, Cash handling skills
• Physical Capabilities - Able to walk/stand for a full shift (potentially for up to 10 hours), lift up to 50 lbs.
• Additional - comfortable around sharp kitchen equipment

Education/Related Experience

• Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication. High School or GED preferred
