Schweitzer is seeking a Seasonal cashier to process customer transactions in a fast-paced food service setting. You will operate a cash register, handle cash and digital payments, and deliver friendly service while keeping the checkout area clean and organized.

Duties include restocking, assisting with inventory, and supporting kitchen tasks as needed. This role offers full-time or part-time seasonal status with a wage range of $13.00–$14.00 plus tips, and eligibility for benefits based on

• License/Certifications: Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided).
• Physical: able to stand or walk up to 8 hours per shift; lift up to 30 lbs.

Position Summary:

The cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. This role involves operating a cash register, handling cash and electronic payments, providing friendly customer service, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the checkout area. The cashier will also assist with restocking inventory and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

• Operate the cash register and handle transactions including processing payments, handling cash, and balancing the register.
• Monitor and maintain efficient line speed and provide excellent guest service at the register.
• Monitor inventory levels, and maintain proper stock rotation in the front.
• Bus and clean tables.
• Run food to guests.
• Keep the front area clean, organized, and well-stocked to meet health and safety standards.
• Assist other café team members with various tasks during slow periods as needed.
• Will help with prep work. Must be willing to step into any kitchen role. Kitchen experience a plus.

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)

Technical- Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale (Squirrel is our current system).

Physical Capabilities- Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift to 30 lbs. occasionally.

Additional- Strong attention to detail. Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- English reading, writing and communication; plus basic math.

Minimum time in related position- Guest service or cashier experience preferred
