Job summary

Schweitzer in Sandpoint, Idaho is seeking a Seasonal Sales & Guest Services Associate to process sales, fulfill orders for tickets and season passes, and assist guests at the point of sale. You will interact with guests face to face and via phone, requiring friendly and accurate service.

Weekend and holiday work is required. Stand/walk for full shifts; strong public relations and guest service skills are essential to success in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: English reading, writing and verbal communication plus basic math.
• Previous guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process sales and order fulfillment through the POS system, including discounts and coupons.
• Sell daily lift tickets and season passes (parking, lockers).
• Answer phone on Guest Service line.
• Balance cash and card transactions.
• Maintain a helpful and empathetic demeanor with guests.
• Know Schweitzer products and events.

Position Summary

Perform sales transactions and order fulfillment for ticket and/or season pass products using a computer. Interact with many guests both face to face and through phone conversations.

Requires working weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities

• Process sales and order fulfillment through our Point of Sale computer system, including processing discounts, coupons and other product specials.
• Sell daily lift ticket products as well as season long products, including parking, lockers and season passes.
• Answer phone and return calls on our Guest Service phone line.
• Balance cash and card transactions within the daily till and point of sale.
• Handle both positive and negative guest interactions with grace and composure. Maintaining a helpful and empathetic demeanor.
• Strong knowledge of Schweitzer and all product offerings including village activities and special events.

Specific Job Skills

• License/Certifications - None
• Technical - Computer skills required with previous point of sale system experience, cash handling, 10-key typing
• Physical Capabilities - Should be able to stand/walk for full 8 hour shift
• Additional - Strong public relations and guest service background and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
