Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Sr. Google Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure cloud landing zones for federal and DoD programs.

You will guide architects and engineers in building hybrid and air-gapped architectures, container platforms, and automation pipelines. The role requires hands-on GCP expertise, experience with regulated environments, and the ability to communicate architecture decisions to technical and leadership audiences.

Qualifications

7+ years of cloud, systems, infrastructure, network, or solutions-architecture experience.
3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud experience in production or regulated environments.
Strong knowledge of GCP services, Terraform, containers/Kubernetes, Git-based CI/CD, and hybrid networking.
Experience producing architecture diagrams and explaining decisions to engineering and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of secure Google Cloud landing zones and resource hierarchies.
Architect solutions using Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and related services.
Design hybrid connectivity, IAM architectures, Terraform modules, CI/CD/GitOps, and observability.
Support Google Distributed Cloud and air-gapped environments.
Conduct architecture workshops, design reviews, and customer briefings.
Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals and technical volumes.
Support RMF activities end-to-end.
