PGTEK is seeking a Sr. Google Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure cloud landing zones for federal and DoD programs.

You will architect solutions across Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and related services while shaping IAM, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability in hybrid or air-gapped environments. You will mentor engineers, conduct architecture workshops, and engage in RMF activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud, systems, infrastructure, network, or solutions-architecture experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud experience in production or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services, Terraform, containers/Kubernetes, Git‑based CI/CD, and hybrid networking.
• Experience producing architecture diagrams and explaining decisions to engineering and executive audiences.

About the Role
PGTEK is seeking a Sr. Google Cloud Architect to support our L100 AI Landing Zones capability. You will lead the design and delivery of secure cloud landing zones, hybrid/disconnected architectures, container platforms, infrastructure automation, and AI-ready services for federal and DoD customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure Google Cloud landing zones and resource hierarchies
• Architect solutions using Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and related services
• Design hybrid connectivity, IAM architectures, Terraform modules, CI/CD/GitOps, and observability
• Support Google Distributed Cloud and air-gapped environments
• Conduct architecture workshops, design reviews, and customer briefings
• Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals and technical volumes
• Support RMF activities end-to-end

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance & Location
Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred. Hybrid or remote with travel to customer sites (~10–25%). Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area preferred.
