Job summary

PGTEK seeks a Sr. Google Cloud Architect to design and deliver secure cloud landing zones, hybrid architectures, container platforms, automation, and AI-ready services for federal and DoD programs. You will lead architecture workshops, reviews, and customer briefings, mentoring engineers and contributing to proposals.

The role requires 7+ years in cloud/solutions-architecture and 3+ years with Google Cloud in regulated environments; hybrid/remote with travel and clearance considerations apply.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud, systems, infrastructure, network, or solutions-architecture experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud experience in production or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services, Terraform, containers/Kubernetes, Git‑based CI/CD, and hybrid networking.
• Experience producing architecture diagrams and explaining decisions to engineering and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure Google Cloud landing zones and resource hierarchies.
• Architect solutions using Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and related services.
• Design hybrid connectivity, IAM architectures, Terraform modules, CI/CD/GitOps, and observability.
• Support Google Distributed Cloud and air-gapped environments.
• Conduct architecture workshops, design reviews, and customer briefings.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals and technical volumes.
• Support RMF activities end-to-end.
