Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Sr. Google Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure cloud landing zones, hybrid architectures, container platforms, and AI-ready services for federal and DoD customers.

The role involves architectural workshops, reviews, and mentoring engineers in a regulated environment. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in cloud solutions-architecture and 3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud experience, with strong GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud, systems, infrastructure, network, or solutions-architecture experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud experience in production or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services, Terraform, containers/Kubernetes, Git-based CI/CD, and hybrid networking.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure Google Cloud landing zones and resource hierarchies.
• Architect solutions using Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and related services.
• Design hybrid connectivity, IAM architectures, Terraform modules, CI/CD/GitOps, and observability.
• Support Google Distributed Cloud and air-gapped environments.
• Conduct architecture workshops, design reviews, and customer briefings.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals and technical volumes.
• Support RMF activities end-to-end.
