Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at NAS North Island, Sea N' Air Golf Course, seeks a friendly associate to sell golf equipment and apparel, process payments, green and cart fees, and manage tee time reservations.

You will help customers, enforce rules, maintain merchandise displays, assist in tournaments, and handle daily cash and inventory with accuracy while delivering courteous, prompt service.

Qualifications

• Combination of experience related to customer service and recreation activity-based functions.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of leisure time activities goals and procedures.
• Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and Community Recreation activities.
• Knowledge of the functions and operations of recreation activities.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain records and compile data for reports.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of computers, office procedures and print production.

Responsibilities

• Sell golf equipment and apparel using POS systems; collect fees; manage cash and deposits.
• Check IDs and enforce rules; assist patrons with information and service.
• Display and price golf accessories; advise on merchandise purchases.
• Assist in planning and running golf tournaments and events; act as tee starter when needed.
• Perform minor repairs on customer golf equipment and report needs.
• Maintain cash receipts, sales records, inventory, and periodic inventories; report discrepancies.
• Perform general housekeeping and ensure cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with fire and safety rules.
• Provide courteous service and resolve patron questions promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
