Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking an assistant to the Golf Course Manager at NAS Corpus Christi to oversee daily golf operations, carts, pro shop and snack bar, while ensuring quality customer service and safety. The role requires coordinating staff, addressing patron needs, and maintaining course readiness.

The position emphasizes leadership, supervision, and hands-on involvement in course setup, merchandising, and league/tournament support, with regular duties

Qualifications

• Specialized experience demonstrates leadership and supervision of golf program operations.
• Experience instructing and guiding patrons; able to communicate with diverse customers.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate staff and facilities.
• Knowledge of safe practices and maintaining equipment and property.
• Credit will be given for volunteer and part-time experience; detail duties and hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Cart Barn, Pro Shop and Snack Bar staff during tours of duty.
• Participate in interviewing and evaluating new employees and resolving issues.
• Plan work assignments and coordinate upkeep of facilities and equipment.
• Act as Manager on Duty in absence of Golf Manager.
• Operate Pro Shop and Snack Bar POS and assist with inventory.
