Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support daily golf operations at our Florida resort. You will greet members and guests professionally, assist the Head Professional, and provide knowledgeable service in merchandise sales.

The role emphasizes high service standards, familiarity with golf operations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced resort environment, both indoors and on the course. Previous golf shop merchandising experience is a plus.

Assistant Golf Professional

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure that all members and guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
• Assist the Head Professional and Director of Golf in the daily golf operation.
• Render professional advice, services, and assistance when needed.
• Professionally communicate information, sell merchandise, and become fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques. Anticipate the needs of members and guests and offerappropriate merchandise alternatives.

Qualifications:

• Must be registered in the PGA Associates Program.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must possess strong computer skills.
• Experienced in tournament operations.
• Experienced in golf shop merchandising.
• College degree a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts upwards of 10-12 hours
• Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift moderate to heavy weight.
• Must be able to operate a golf cart safely and properly.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Working Environment:

• High paced busy environment.
• Work regularly inside and outside the golf shops. Travel around the resort property required.
