Job summary

Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in ChampionsGate, FL is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support daily golf operations, greet members and guests, and uphold Omni's service standards.

You will assist the Head Professional and Director of Golf, provide merchandise knowledge, and help with events and tournaments.

Must be PGA Associates registered; strong interpersonal and computer skills preferred; college degree a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be registered in the PGA Associates Program.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must possess strong computer skills.
• Experienced in tournament operations.
• Experienced in golf shop merchandising.
• College degree a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members and guests in a professional, courteous manner.
• Maintain regular attendance per Omni standards.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, attire, and name tag.
• Assist Head Professional and Director of Golf in daily operations.
• Provide professional advice, services, and assistance as needed.
• Communicate information, sell merchandise, and know products and sales techniques; anticipate guest needs.

Assistant Golf Professional

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure that all members and guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
• Assist the Head Professional and Director of Golf in the daily golf operation.
• Render professional advice, services, and assistance when needed.
• Professionally communicate information, sell merchandise, and become fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques. Anticipate the needs of members and guests and offerappropriate merchandise alternatives.

Qualifications:

• Must be registered in the PGA Associates Program.

• Must possess strong computer skills.
• Experienced in tournament operations.
• Experienced in golf shop merchandising.
• College degree a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts upwards of 10-12 hours
• Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift moderate to heavy weight.
• Must be able to operate a golf cart safely and properly.
• Must have a valid driver's license

Working Environment:

• High paced busy environment.
• Work regularly inside and outside the golf shops. Travel around the resort property required.
