Job summary

The Golf Sales Associate at Van's Golf Shops is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture aligned with Worldwide Golf’s values. You will evaluate customers' needs and recommend golf equipment, and operate launch monitor during in-store experiences.

Qualifications

• Golf knowledge/background is required.
• Experience in the golf industry is a plus; entry-level candidates considered.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Promote store culture and align with Worldwide Golf values.
• Evaluate customers' needs and recommend golf equipment.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator during in-store experience.
• Assist with merchandising and keep the sales floor clean.

Responsibilities include:Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experienceAssist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.Perform any other duties as assigned by management.Requirements:Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store.
