Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Golf Course Groundsperson to join our maintenance team. You will mow, trim, edge, and blow around greens and fairways, and assist with shrub work across multiple sites within the region.

The role requires physical endurance, readiness to work outdoors in various conditions, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with greenskeeping tasks and irrigation duties is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience mowing and maintaining turf areas with small mowers or fly-mos.
• Ability to trim, edge, and shape using gas-powered tools.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing outdoor tasks in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Mow small turf areas with fly-mos or push mowers.
• Trim and edge using gas-powered tools; operate a gas-powered blower.
• Trim shrubs; pick up leaves and debris for disposal.
• Weed by hand or with hoes; report to daily job sites within the region.
• Perform greenskeeper or irrigation duties as assigned; stand/walk for long periods.

You’d Be Responsible For

• Mowing small turf areas using “fly-mo” or small push power mowers
• Trimming and edging using a gas powered edger/trimmer
• Operating a gas powered blower
• Trimming shrubs and low trees to shape and improve growth or to remove damaged leaves,branches, or twigs using shears, pruners, or gas powered hedge trimmers
• Picking up leaves, trash, and cut grass and placing onto a truck or trailer
• Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
• The ability to report for daily work at different job sites within region to perform required tasks
• Greenskeeper and/or Irrigator duties as assigned.
• Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
• Regular exposure to outside environment including rain, cold, sun, or night
• Repetitive movement- standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
