Job summary

BrightView in Florida is hiring a Golf Course Groundsperson to maintain turf, trim edges, and support overall course presentation.

You will operate mowers, trimmers, and blowers, perform shrub maintenance, and assist with greenskeeper and irrigation duties across multiple sites.

This full-time role requires physical work outdoors, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a team-focused attitude in a fast-growing landscape company.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mowing and edging equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks.
• Capable of working outdoors in varying weather and lighting.
• Willing to travel to multiple job sites within the region.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mow small turf areas with fly-mo or push mowers.
• Trim and edge using gas-powered trimmer.
• Operate gas blower.
• Trim shrubs and low trees for growth and health.
• Pickup leaves, trash, and cut grass for disposal.
• Perform weeding by hand or with garden hoe.

You’d be responsible for:

• Mowing small turf areas using “fly-mo” or small push power mowers
• Trimming and edging using a gas powered edger/trimmer
• Operating a gas powered blower
• Trimming shrubs and low trees to shape and improve growth or to remove damaged leaves,branches, or twigs using shears, pruners, or gas powered hedge trimmers
• Picking up leaves, trash, and cut grass and placing onto a truck or trailer
• Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
• The ability to report for daily work at different job sites within region to perform required tasks
• Greenskeeper and/or Irrigator duties as assigned.
• Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
• Regular exposure to outside environment including rain, cold, sun, or night
• Repetitive movement- standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
