Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Golf Course Groundsperson to maintain turf, edges, shrubs, and greens at multiple sites. You will mow, trim, blow, weed, and assist with irrigation tasks as needed, while reporting daily activities and ensuring safe, efficient upkeep of the grounds.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in all weather, and ideally speak English and Spanish. A strong team environment and potential growth within BrightView are highlights of this role.

Qualifications

• Experience mowing and trimming turf with petrol-powered tools.
• Ability to operate a gas-powered blower and hedge trimmers.
• Comfort with lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Mow small turf areas with fly-mo or push mowers.
• Trim and edge with gas-powered edger/trimmer.
• Operate gas-powered blower.
• Trim shrubs and low trees for growth and health.
• Pick up leaves, trash, and cut grass for disposal.
• Weed by hand or with hoe or hula hoe.
• Report for daily work at different job sites within the region.
• Perform greenskeeper and/or irrigator duties as assigned.

You’d Be Responsible For

• Mowing small turf areas using “fly-mo” or small push power mowers
• Trimming and edging using a gas powered edger/trimmer
• Operating a gas powered blower
• Trimming shrubs and low trees to shape and improve growth or to remove damaged leaves,branches, or twigs using shears, pruners, or gas powered hedge trimmers
• Picking up leaves, trash, and cut grass and placing onto a truck or trailer
• Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
• The ability to report for daily work at different job sites within region to perform required tasks
• Greenskeeper and/or Irrigator duties as assigned.
• Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
• Regular exposure to outside environment including rain, cold, sun, or night
• Repetitive movement- standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
