Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Golf Course Groundsperson to maintain turf, shrubs, and landscapes across Florida courses. You will operate mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing equipment and support greenskeeper and irrigation duties as needed.

This is a physical outdoor role requiring lifting up to 50 pounds, exposure to rain, sun, and varying shifts. Join a safety‑minded team with growth opportunities at BrightView.

Qualifications

• Mowing of small turf areas with powered equipment and manual tools.
• Ability to trim shrubs and perform hedging with hand or gas tools.
• Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and perform outdoor tasks in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Mow small turf areas with fly-mow or push mowers.
• Trim and edge using gas edger/trimmer; operate a blower.
• Trim shrubs/low trees for growth and neatness; remove damaged leaves/branches.
• Pickup leaves and debris; report to different job sites within region.
• Perform weeding by hand or with hoes; greenskeeper and/or irrigator duties as assigned.
• Office-style: stand, walk, twist, bend, squat; work in outdoor environments.

You’d Be Responsible For

• Mowing small turf areas using “fly-mo” or small push power mowers
• Trimming and edging using a gas powered edger/trimmer
• Operating a gas powered blower
• Trimming shrubs and low trees to shape and improve growth or to remove damaged leaves,branches, or twigs using shears, pruners, or gas powered hedge trimmers
• Picking up leaves, trash, and cut grass and placing onto a truck or trailer
• Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
• The ability to report for daily work at different job sites within region to perform required tasks
• Greenskeeper and/or Irrigator duties as assigned.
• Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
• Regular exposure to outside environment including rain, cold, sun, or night
• Repetitive movement- standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
