Job summary

Invited, a leading hospitality and club operator, invites applications for an Equipment Operator to support golf course maintenance and construction. The role uses various equipment, assists with grounds projects, and helps ensure the course meets high standards in Jacksonville, FL.

You will perform inspections, fuel and wash equipment, maintain field cleanliness, and work with the Equipment Manager to support daily operations and the club members' experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating equipment in a golf course or landscaping environment.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with various types of golf course maintenance equipment, including understanding replacement parts, supplies, and resources needed for equipment upkeep and repair.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment to mow golf course areas, including putting greens, slopes, collars, roughs, aprons, and tees.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and checklists to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Wash, fuel (if applicable), and store all equipment in designated areas after use.
• Keep equipment and tools out of the field of play and minimize noise to maintain a respectful environment for golfers.
• Operate light equipment for tasks such as hauling materials and removing debris.
• Prepare sand bunkers for daily play by using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Water and fertilize putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs as instructed.
• Grade and prepare soil plant beds, lay sod, plant vegetative material, and seed putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
