Job summary

Kenton County Golf Courses in Independence, KY, is seeking a full-time Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations and coordinate policies with Troon’s guidance. You will drive guest service, manage staff development, and ensure efficient, high-quality golf operations.

The role requires PGA membership or apprentice status, 1–3 years in golf, and a strong business mindset to support a hospitality-focused property within a global leader.

Qualifications

• PGA Membership or PGA registered apprentice in good standing.
• Four-year college degree (business related preferred).
• Supervisory, coaching and staff development experience.
• Experience in total golf facility management and running a professional, service-oriented operation.
• Proficient in Excel, Access, Word and POS systems.
• Working knowledge of club accounting.
• Strong business aptitude and passion for golf.
• Experience building player development programs.
• Experience acting as a club liaison to the community.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Highly motivated, goal-driven and a self-starter.
• Extremely organized, efficient and detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages office communications and helps operate the club in the General Manager's absence.
• Assists in hiring, developing, and supervising key management staff.
• Processes customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Produces daily reports on rounds, sales and other metrics.
• Coordinates tournaments and play with golf professionals.
• Works with staff to monitor pace of play, safety and course markings.
• Supports check-in processes for arriving guests.
• Assists in cash and accounts receivable reconciliation.
• Oversees care and maintenance of facilities and assets.
• Supports Pro Shop management and relationships with the board and community.
