Job summary

Kenton County Golf Course in Independence, KY is seeking a part-time Guest Service Attendant for a seasonal position (6 months or less). As an associate of Troon, you'll help create positive experiences for guests and members while supporting golf operations.

Key duties include preparing and cleaning golf carts, range maintenance, assisting with bag drop and club cleaning, directing pace of play when needed, and supporting clubhouse upkeep and food and beverage activities.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cleans golf carts for play following the standards of Kenton County Golf Course
• Performs range maintenance, including setting up and maintaining range and chipping green presentation, maintaining range ball inventory, picking up range balls, and cleaning them
• Maintains the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area
• Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning
• Maintains the cart storage area and cart washdown area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition
• May direct the start of play, which includes assisting in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play, and similar guidelines
• Cleans golfers' clubs upon completion of play
• Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings
• Services customers renting golf clubs and cleans rental clubs upon return; maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs
• Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot
• Assists with food and beverage activities
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as required
