Job summary

Mounds View Public School District is seeking a Head Boys Golf Coach for Spring 2027. The head coach will be responsible for all aspects of running the golf program, including try-outs, team selection, practices, and games.

The ideal candidate must possess a valid Minnesota coaching certificate, have a strong background in golf, and demonstrate successful coaching experience. Candidates should also exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and community leaders.

Qualifications

• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experiencein building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the schoolmission and vision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.
• Orientation toward continuous improvement and transformational coaching
