Job summary

Mounds View Public School District is seeking an Assistant Boys Golf Coach for Spring 2027. The assistant coach will support the head coach with program management, including try-outs, team selection, practices, and games.

Ideal candidates will have a valid Minnesota coaching certificate and a strong background in the sport. They should possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to community engagement and team development.

Qualifications

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.

Overview

The assistant coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in all aspects of running the program including try-outs, team selection, practices, games, etc.

Qualifications

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experiencein building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the schoolmission and vision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.
