Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools seeks an Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach to support the head coach with try-outs, team selection, practices, and games. This role contributes to building a strong lacrosse program within the school community.

A valid Minnesota coaching certificate is required, with strong coaching background and communication skills. Stipends are paid in accordance with the Teacher Labor Agreement Appendix C.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications).
• Strong background and understanding of lacrosse required.
• Successful coaching experience preferred.
• Experience in building a comprehensive program and managing staff and program-wide elements.

Responsibilities

• Support the head coach in all aspects of running the lacrosse program, including try-outs, team selection, practices, and games.
• Coordinate with staff, parents, and local community to promote the program and maintain positive relationships.
• Contribute to program development aligned with the school's mission and vision.

Overview

The assistant coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in all aspects of running the program including try-outs, team selection, practices, games, etc.

Qualifications

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the school mission and vision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.
