Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions is seeking a backend/SRE engineer to design, build and maintain core services for the Stargazer automation platform. You will own reliability as a feature, drive error budgets, and shield the system from anti-patterns while collaborating with product managers.

You will work with Golang, Java, GraphQL, and NoSQL databases, contribute to scalable streaming pipelines, and apply a strong SRE mindset to ensure observability and resilience at scale.

Qualifications

• Design, build and maintain backend services for the Stargazer automation platform.
• Own reliability as a feature; manage error budgets and eliminate anti-patterns.
• Track errors; keep instrumentation up to date; integrate with in-house incident management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to drive sound engineering practices.
• Scale a high-throughput automation platform powering streaming pipelines.
• Golang, Java, GraphQL APIs, and NoSQL databases in production environments.
• Design with CQRS architecture and Kafka for event streaming.
• Apply SRE mindset to enforce error budgets, observability, and resilience at scale.
• Familiar with Kubernetes variants (GKE, OCI) and ArgoCD for CD pipelines.
• Utilize ELK stack for observability and monitoring.
• Exposure to NoSQL systems like ScyllaDB or MongoDB beyond primary expertise.
• Communicate effectively across engineering, product, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services for the Stargazer automation platform.
• Treat Reliability as a Feature—own error budgets and shield the system from antipatterns.
• Ensure error tracking and instrumentation are updated and integrated with the incident system.
• Champion sound system engineering practices while collaborating with stakeholders and product managers.
• Contribute to scaling a high-throughput automation platform powering streaming pipelines.
• Demonstrate production experience with Golang, Java, GraphQL, MongoDB and Redis.
