Job summary

Family Tree, Inc. is seeking a GOALS Program Director to oversee day-to-day operations of a 24/7 family residential shelter.

You will supervise residential staff, ensure safe, trauma-informed service delivery, and coordinate with the Vice President and grants manager to align with program standards and Family Tree values. You will lead staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and ongoing staff development; resolve client and staff issues; and ensure documentation and QA processes meet contractual

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff in residential, shelter, or related settings.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily GOALS program operations and ensure effective service delivery.
• Support consistency across GOALS residential locations and activities.
• Ensure practices align with policies, safety standards, and contractual expectations.
• Monitor the residential environment and address operational concerns.
• Identify barriers and propose recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate with other Family Tree services to integrate GOALS activities.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules and coverage; respond to staffing needs.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new staff; provide supervision and guidance.
• Lead staff through supervision, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Support crisis response, conflict resolution, and problem solving for clients and staff.
• Ensure documentation follows required processes and workflows; support QA processes.
• Coordinate interns and volunteers, ensure orientation and guidance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and manage after-hours issues.
• Collaborate with partners to promote consistency and strong client outcomes.
