Job summary

RTX is seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer in Tucson, AZ to support missile program developments. You will help evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms within a GNC context, collaborating with engineers on an integrated product team.

The role involves CFD-driven aerodynamics work, flight-testing evaluation, and development of tracking, navigation, and estimation algorithms for mission success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a STEM field by start date.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and Linux.
• Experience with GNC systems, modeling & simulation techniques, digital/modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, signal processing (EO/IR/RF), navigation systems, sensors (IMU/GPS), APNT, and CFD.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation, design, implementation, and integration of embedded software algorithms.
• Characterize aerodynamics through CFD and wind tunnel testing.
• Design, integrate, and optimize guidance, tracking, navigation, and estimation algorithms.
• Collaborate with an integrated product team on tactical embedded software, firmware, and simulations.
