Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ recruits engineers to support Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) and Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) efforts. This 100% on-site role involves designing and testing high-quality software and simulation toolchains for missile flight code, using MATLAB/Simulink, STK, and coding in C++ and Python.

Candidates should have a related bachelor’s or master’s degree with experience, and must be eligible for a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• GNC experience required or strongly preferred.
• Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains.
• Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DoF) simulation to design and test missile flight code.
• Work with 6DoF simulation models to evaluate system performance.
• Experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementation into missile flight code.
• Experience with various trajectory optimization software and tools.
