Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in the United States seeks a Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer – Level 2 for a 100% on-site role in the vicinity of Dulles, VA or McLean, VA.

You will lead GNC hardware procurement, supplier coordination, and integration with spacecraft, supporting critical national security programs. The role requires MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ experience, TS clearance, and a background in GNC design and testing.

Qualifications

• Requires active TS clearance at time of application with SAP and SCI approval within a reasonable period.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant engineering experience OR Master with 0 years of experience.
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ programming.
• Experience in GNC design, analysis, and testing (ADCS acceptable).
• Familiarity with GNC components: sun sensors, star trackers, GPS receivers, IMUs, reaction wheels, mag- torquers.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement of GNC hardware components as cognizant engineer (CogE).
• Lead supplier meetings for GNC hardware procurement and testing.
• Provide status tracking and close actions for GNC hardware lifecycle.
• Perform trade studies for GNC hardware in proposals.
• Review GNC requirements via verification matrices across subsystems.
• Design and procure GNC test equipment (EGSE/GSE).
• Lead integration and testing of GNC hardware with spacecraft.
• Troubleshoot GNC hardware using manuals and documentation.
