Job summary

HYE Recruiting seeks a GNC Engineer in Huntsville, AL to design autopilot and control algorithms and perform high-fidelity simulations. The role emphasizes end-to-end kinematic modeling, Root Locus analyses, and gain/phase margin evaluation in a hybrid work setting.

You will work with multi-discliplinary teams, travel up to 10%, and leverage MATLAB, Python, C++, and Simulink to advance aerospace control systems and sensor fusion capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience designing autopilot and control algorithms.
• Experience with state estimation techniques (Kalman EKF/UKF) or multi-sensor fusion.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++, Simulink or similar.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
• US citizen; DoD clearance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop & analyze autopilot and control algorithms and contribute to high-fidelity simulation development.
• Build autopilot and control laws for dynamic systems.
• Perform target state estimation, filtering and sensor fusion.
• Develop & maintain kinematic simulations and models for system design & verification.
• Interface with systems, software and test engineering teams.
