Job summary

Requires 8+ years in GNC, strong control theory, and expertise in MATLAB/Simulink with 6-DOF simulations. Travel up to 25% is expected, with future Long Beach, CA base as per expansion plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with focus on dynamics and control.
• 8+ years in Guidance, Navigation & Control engineering or related work.
• Strong knowledge of classical and modern control, estimation, and filtering.
• Excellent flight dynamics understanding for VTOL and CTOL.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and test algorithms for GNC per project requirements.
• Design GNC architectures considering vehicle, sensors, actuators, and algorithms.
• Participate from concept to design, prototyping, testing, and operation.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, flight software, and test teams for integration.
• Contribute to design reviews, safety assessments, and system docs.
• Use simulation tools to verify GNC models and performance under varied conditions.
• Provide system engineering expertise for cohesive GNC design and implementation.
• Troubleshoot GNC issues during design, testing, and operations.
• Stay updated with latest GNC tech and system-architecture trends.
