Job summary

Corvid Technologies is seeking a Hardware in the Loop and Embedded Engineer to join the GNC department in Huntsville, AL or Mooresville, NC. You will model and simulate high-speed aerospace vehicles in real-time and manage hardware interactions with flight computers.

You will expand HIL systems, derive simulator requirements for GPS receivers, actuators, and seekers, and bridge desktop GNC simulations with flight hardware verification.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or computer science field.
• 5 years of embedded systems engineering or HIL development experience.
• Proficiency with C++, Python, Linux, and Git.
• Experience with GPS simulation and hands-on HIL/SIL testing.
• Knowledge of aerospace vehicle modeling and numerical methods (e.g., Runge-Kutta).

Responsibilities

• HIL development and maintenance: mature the HIL systems and integrate new GNC hardware.
• Develop vehicle dynamics models for real-time simulations including aerospace models, actuators, and sensors.
• Integrate new GNC hardware with flight hardware and test benches.
• Perform V&V activities with HIL runs and analyze data artifacts for program reviews.
• Modeling and Simulation: support M&S of 6DOF vehicles and assist 6DOF developers.
