Job summary

Stella Maris Inc. is seeking a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to provide compassionate nursing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Shifts available include 8, 12, or 16 hours, with every Saturday and Sunday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care under supervision of a licensed nurse to ensure residents’ comfort and safety.
• Takes and records vital signs, weight, intake and output, and other measurements accurately and on time.
• Assists with all ADLs for assigned residents.
• Maintains documentation on residents/patients’ charts according to facility protocol.
• Responds promptly to residents’ call lights.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and standard precautions.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Under supervision of a licensed nurse, provides nursing care according to facility philosophy, policies and procedures. Responsible for meeting patients’ daily needs and responding to call lights; assumes care of patients’ clothing, personal property and environment; makes careful and efficient use of supplies, linen, and equipment.

DUTIES:

• Provides quality nursing care in accordance with established routines and procedures to ensure residents’ comfort and safety
• Takes and records residents’ vital signs, weight, intake and output, and other measurements accurately and on time
• Provides assistance with all ADL’s for assigned residents
• Maintains documentation on residents/patients’ charts according to facility protocol
• Promptly answers residents’ call lights
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and consistently practice standard precautions
• Regularly assumes responsibility for resident’s clothing and personal property by securing items in accordance with established routines.

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
