Job summary

Alliance Staffing Solutions LLC is hiring a compassionate Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to provide high-quality direct patient care in hospitals, rehabs, SNFs, and LTC settings across Baltimore, Laurel, Towson, and surrounding Maryland locations. The role emphasizes dignity, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Maryland GNA license, have CPR/BLS certification, and at least two years of relevant experience, with the ability to work a flexible

• Minimum 2 years of GNA experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs accurately.
• Observe and report changes to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and ROM exercises.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and comfort.
• Document patient care per facility policies.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Support nurses and healthcare team as directed.
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families.

Position Summary

Alliance Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to provide high-quality direct patient care in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, and other healthcare settings throughout Baltimore, Laurel, Pikesville, Essex, Towson, Glen Burnie, and Rising, Maryland.

Minimum Requirements

• Active and valid Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) license (required).
• Minimum of one (2) year of recent GNA experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or long-term care setting preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs accurately.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and dignity at all times.
• Document patient care according to facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain infection prevention and safety standards.
• Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care as directed.
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, long-term care, or skilled nursing.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, nights, holidays, and PRN assignments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move patients throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical activities in a healthcare environment.
