Job summary

Stella Maris Inc. is seeking a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to provide compassionate nursing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Shifts available include 8, 12, or 16 hours, with every Saturday and Sunday coverage.

Must possess good nursing skills, patience, understanding, and a positive, caring attitude.

Responsibilities

Provides quality nursing care under supervision of a licensed nurse to ensure residents’ comfort and safety.
Takes and records vital signs, weight, intake and output, and other measurements accurately and on time.
Assists with all ADLs for assigned residents.
Maintains documentation on residents/patients’ charts according to facility protocol.
Responds promptly to residents’ call lights.
Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and standard precautions.
