Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations to lead day-to-day manufacturing on first, second, or third shift. You will assign work based on detailed schedules, oversee cGMP activities, and ensure compliant, efficient execution of manufacturing operations in the Drug Product facility.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record of supervising teams, and deep knowledge of batch records, SOPs, and MES systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical or engineering discipline, 6+ years of experience or equivalent
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Prior cell therapy and aseptic manufacturing experience preferred
• Prior POMS MES experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations.
• Assign work to shift personnel based on production schedules.
• Oversee cGMP manufacturing activities, including equipment setup, assembly, operation, disassembly, and cleaning.
• Execute and witness batch record instructions and perform real-time on-the-floor batch record reviews.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to support facility operations and maintenance objectives.
