Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations to lead afternoon/evening shift manufacturing activities with responsibility for scheduling, cGMP compliance, and on-the-floor supervision. The role includes overseeing equipment setup, operation, disassembly, and cleaning, and ensuring audit-ready documentation.

Responsibilities include real-time batch record review, cross-functional coordination, and maintaining safety and efficiency in the Drug Product facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 6+ years of experience or equivalent combination.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Prior cell therapy and aseptic manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior POMS MES experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations.
• Assign work to shift personnel based on production schedules and plans.
• Oversee cGMP manufacturing activities including equipment setup, operation, disassembly, and cleaning.
• Execute and witness batch record instructions to ensure accurate documentation.
• Performs real-time batch record review on the floor.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to support facility operations and maintenance.
