Job summary

UT Health Sciences in Knoxville, Tennessee seeks a GME Program Manager 1 to serve as Medical Student and Fellowship Coordinator for the Department of Family Medicine. The role includes administrative duties for students across rotations in Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Care.

The position also handles administrative duties for Emergency Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Care fellowships, manages daily fellowship operations, and ensures compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; transcript required.
• Two years of experience in accreditation, database management, or customer service in an education or medical institution.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day operations of the fellowship programs; prepares and collects evaluations for the fellowship programs.
• Compiles, distributes, and maintains the monthly schedules for the fellows.
• Maintains ERAS and NRMP databases during the fellowship recruitment season.
• Coordinates the orientation process with the College of Medicine.
• Meets regularly with the Clerkship, Assistant Clerkship Directors, and Course Directors.
• Performs all match responsibilities and corresponds with newly matched residents and requirements, orientation, schedules and hiring process.
• Creates daily clinical schedules for students and prepares handbooks, activity calendars, and lecture schedules for all students.
• Schedules faculty for medical student lectures.
• Ensures student completion of tasks and ensures adherence/compliance to UT Health Sciences policies for faculty, residents, and students.
• Performs other related duties assigned.
