Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Performance Improvement certification preferred.
  • 3–5 years equivalent experience required; 6–10 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of health care, GME and HR terminology preferred.
  • Strong information systems and technology background.
  • Background in healthcare preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration with other disciplines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees collection and maintenance of all operational and academic data in the resident management system.
  • Ensures accurate record keeping of resident/fellow training, education, scholarship, procedure logging and HR data, visas, training requirements, system access, rotations, and programs.
  • Manages supplies and content related to education functions for sponsoring institution.
  • Serves as a resource for program coordinators and directors.
  • Prepares for state and federal audits and visits.
  • Collects and analyzes data; recommends improvements to operations, academics, and evaluations.
  • Communicates clearly within the GME community and participates in meetings, workshops, and retreats.
  • Obtains information related to program accreditation by attending meetings and reviewing communications.
  • Implements, assigns and monitors curriculum in resident management system software for team.
  • Monitors compliance and assists with evaluations.
  • Generates aggregate evaluative reports.
  • Supports development needs for coordinators and directors to meet requirements.
  • Ensures high quality customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Provides regular telephonic support to program directors and coordinators on residency management system and ACGME sites.
  • Participates in marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Pursues professional growth through conferences and committees.
  • Keeps updated on Graduate Medical Education trends and industry standards.
  • Supports learning needs and coordinates training activities.
  • Works with Financial Analyst on annual budget and statistics; seeks cost reductions via efficient use of resources.
  • Schedules staff to control overtime; orders supplies and coordinates with vendors.
