Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader in Merrillville, IN to drive guest experience and store performance. You will lead daily operations, coach hourly team members, and ensure inventory accuracy, pricing, and merchandising standards to support sales goals.

In this role, you will develop talent, manage workload with leadership guidance, and uphold safety and compliance across all store activities. Prior retail leadership and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to train and develop hourly team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly experience.
• Train and coach hourly team members to build a strong team.
• Lead daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals.
• Ensure products are stocked, accurately priced and properly signed on the sales floor.
• Develop talent and succession planning within your department.
• Address guest and team issues with a focus on safety and compliance.
