Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader to oversee daily store operations and lead a team in delivering an exceptional guest experience. You will train and coach hourly team members, manage workload, and ensure accurate merchandising, pricing, and signage across GM areas.

You will drive performance by observing operations, providing feedback, and collaborating with leadership to meet sales goals while maintaining store standards and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail or team leadership is preferred.
• Ability to coach and develop hourly team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments and ensure consistent service standards.
• Train and coach team members to meet Target's guest experience and operations expectations.
• Observe performance, provide feedback, and drive improvements.
• Plan and assign daily/weekly workload to meet priorities and sales goals.
• Educate the team on procedures, inventory, pricing, and merchandising practices.
