Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking an experienced General Merchandise Manager to lead the General Merchandise and HBC department. You will oversee budgeting, inventory control, and staff development while ensuring compliance with company standards and 5S practices.

You'll coordinate merchandising, supervise associates, and work with other managers to maximize sales. Strong leadership and clear communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Meet budgeting and financial targets for General Merchandise (CTO).
• Control inventory levels and CGO process compliance; conduct cycle counts.
• Maintain GM and HBC stock within corporate standards, including pricing and shelf tags.
• Coordinate merchandising of all GM products.
• Hire, train and develop associates in the General Merchandise department.
• Manage department staff and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Collaborate with other managers on displays to maximize sales.
• Maintain a neat, clean 5S-compliant workstation at all times.
• Receive warehouse and vendor GM products accurately.
• Control shrink through related policies and procedures.
