Job summary

Safeway in Snoqualmie, WA, seeks a GM/HBC Manager for the variety department. You will provide friendly customer service, train and supervise GM/HBC Clerks, and manage daily stocking, pricing, and display upkeep to drive sales and controlled costs.

The role requires reacting to customer needs, maintaining department cleanliness, and coordinating orders. Prior clerk experience is a plus, with the goal of ensuring high service standards and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering friendly, courteous customer service.
• Ability to train and supervise GM/HBC Clerks.
• Ability to schedule staff for department operations.
• Strong communication with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work independently when needed.
• Prior clerk experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service as defined by employer and policy.
• Train, schedule, and supervise GM/HBC workers for optimum staffing.
• Resolve customer issues related to sales or service.
• Replace stock in displays and shelves; remove expired items daily.
• Perform daily inventory and order supplies to maintain stock.
• Write and input orders into store computer.
• Monitor inter-office mail and company page for updates.
• Other duties as assigned.
