Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets in New York is seeking an experienced General Merchandise and HBC Department Manager to lead operations, training and development, and ensure compliance with company standards.

You will manage budgets, payroll, inventory levels, shrink, pricing, and merchandising, while coordinating with other departments. Some evenings may be required, reporting to Store Management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting and financial aspects of the GM department, including sales, payroll, gross profit and shrink.
• Control inventory levels and ensure CGO compliance; conduct cycle counts.
• Keep GM/HBC shelves well stocked and priced to corporate standards; manage merchandising and pricing tags.
• Hire, train and develop department associates; supervise staff and enforce policies.
• Collaborate with other departments on merchandising and store displays; maintain 5S cleanliness.
