Job summary

Okta is seeking a hands-on Globalization Software Engineer in San Francisco to architect, build, and maintain our automation infrastructure focused on localization rather than core product features. This role emphasizes internal automation, CLI tools, and TMS integrations with production-grade Python code.

The position requires 6–8 years of software/globalization experience, deep Python/API skills, and a track record of integrating LLM APIs and MT pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of software or globalization engineering experience.
• Strong Python, API development, and automation framework skills.
• Experience with enterprise CMS/MSM platforms.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs and Custom Machine Translation pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of the localization landscape and TMS architectures.
• Ability to conduct code-level i18n reviews across React, Go, or Java.
• Independent, proactive problem solver with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the localization automation framework.
• Develop and maintain production-grade Python code.
• Integrate AI localization tech and MT pipelines into automation frameworks.
• Provide architectural oversight for the localization stack.
• Collaborate with localization and product teams on i18n reviews.
• Manage enterprise TMS instances and data connectors.
• Develop CLI tools and CI/CD guardrails.
