Overview

I'm partnering with an innovative team that is building and scaling enterprise automation across a global organization, and we're looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join them. This is an opportunity to work on a centralized automation platform, building integrations and AI-driven workflows that connect critical business systems across IT, Security, and Operations.

Compensation

• Up to $120/hr
• San Jose, CA preferred (hybrid); remote candidates will be considered

Responsibilities

• Designing and building enterprise-grade automations and integrations
• Developing workflows across APIs, SaaS applications, databases, and internal systems
• Supporting and enhancing 220+ active automations
• Building AI-enabled workflows, including LLM and agent-based integrations
• Owning the full automation lifecycle from design through production support
• Collaborating with IT, Security, and business stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation, integration, or software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar iPaaS platforms
• REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architecture expertise
• Scripting experience (Python and/or Ruby preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, RAG workflows
• Experience with ServiceNow, Okta, or enterprise SaaS integrations
